Rachel's Road to Atlanta! Day 2

So, we played some games with Jafar V2, and realized that we really missed Rise of the Titians, so we added it back in. Let The Storm Rage On always felt like a dead card when I drew it, and Josh agreed, so after like 16 games or so between the two of us piloting Jafar, we took Let The Storm Rage On out, and added Rise of the Titians back in. We also took out Mr. Smee in favour of four Queens Castles.

Thoughts

Well, lets start with how it did. Josh played Amethyst/Ruby Bounce, a list I call Big Bounce, and since Lorcana is changing to a Bo2 tournament for Day 1, that’s how we tracked things.

In one day, we played 5 matches, that is 10 games.

Match 1: I won both games, and I can’t remember anything standing out, so they must have just been solid wins, nothing swingy, nothing weird or super cool.

Match 2: I won the first one (where I went first), and lost the second. That game I missed three opportunities to draw cards off of Beast Tragic Hero and Blue Fairy, which made me have one card in my hand and no options. I then played A Whole New World, which gave Josh a whole new hand, and I was unable to recover.

Match 3: I won both matches, and though I missed one draw trigger, I was trying to remember them better!

Match 4: I lost the first one where I went second, and won the second game.

Match 5: I won both, but only because Josh was nice and reminded me that I should A Whole New World Away his hand. That worked out well. The last game Josh bricked. It was not a good last game!

So, out of 5 matches, I would have scored a total of 11 points out of a possible 15. Not too bad!

We are streaming these testing games on Twitch when we do them, and I’m sure they will go on YouTube if you are interested in checking them out! They are less tournament style, and more lets go through all the thought process and possibilities and figure out how to play the decks the best. I’m finding it very helpful talking through everything, and if you’re interested in learning how to be a better deck pilot there might be some helpful tips in these videos for you too!

Anyways, that’s it for now! Jafar, v2.1 is next!
