Weekend Recap: January 13th-14th
This weekend we had our first Deck Box Masters Tournaments of the year (First since Covid actually!). We had two events kick off our new year of events: A Warhammer GT and Lorcana Masters!
Warhammer 40K
For anyone like me who hears all the acronyms in gaming and needs a refresher, GTs are the bigger two day ones for Warhammer! We have GTs every 3 months here and rent out the hotel’s event spaces above us to get as many people in playing as possible!
This weekend we 24 people come play in the GT, and Matt Reeson’s Necrons took it! From what I am told Necrons got a bit of an update, meaning that as of after this tournamnet, the list no longer plays the same.

Lorcana Masters
We also had a Lorcana Tournament Saturday! For months we have been doing fun, casual, and low-key events on Sundays, so it was nice to get the chance to flex those card-playing muscles!
We had 11 players and did a 5 round Swiss Tournament with a Cut to Top 4. I played and I was expecting a bunch of the Bounce Decks as they are the top 7 out of every top 8 that I have seen so far, but I was surprised by the variety of decks! Out top four consisted of Steelsong, Mufasa Agro, Discard, and Pawpsicle. It was a great event, and congrats to Josh Charvala for winning the event!
